U.S. Ski & Snowboard has officially announced the 49 athletes named to the Stifel U.S. Alpine Ski Team for the 2025-26 season.

Returning to the roster are some of the sport’s most accomplished names, including the winningest alpine skier of all time, two-time Olympic champion and eight-time world champion Mikaela Shiffrin, three-time Olympic medalist and 82-time World Cup winner Lindsey Vonn, 2022 Olympic super-G silver medalist Ryan Cochran-Siegle, two-time world champion Breezy Johnson, and World Championship bronze medalists Lauren Macuga and Paula Moltzan.

The upcoming 2025-26 World Cup schedule is set to be one of the most thrilling yet, featuring 20 women’s World Cups and 19 men’s World Cups on the Audi FIS Alpine Ski World Cup calendar. The highlight of the year will be the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games, Feb. 6-22, where the women will compete in Cortina, Italy and the men in Bormio, Italy.

The World Cup tour kicks off in Sölden, Austria Oct. 25-26, with the traditional opening giant slalom, before moving north to Levi, Finland for men’s and women’s slalom events. Later in the fall, North American fans will have the chance to cheer on U.S. athletes on home snow in Colorado, including the inaugural Stifel Copper Cup presented by United Airlines at Copper Mountain, Nov. 27-30 featuring both men’s and women’s races, followed by the men at the legendary Stifel Birds of Prey in Beaver Creek, Dec. 4-7.

“This is a determined group of athletes, fully prepared to compete at the highest level as we head into an Olympic season,” said U.S. Ski & Snowboard Chief of Sport Anouk Patty. “Their commitment—both in summer training at the USANA Center of Excellence powered by iFIT and on the snow—has set the stage for what promises to be an exciting season.”

Kate Delson is 'On The Rise'

By Ryan Odeja - Toyota U.S. Para Snowboard Team
October, 9 2025
Kate Delson

Kate Delson made an immeasurable impact on the World Cup during her first full season on the circuit. Between her first podiums, first World Cup wins, and a World Championships silver medal, Kate was unstoppable. Delson got her start as a skier before transitioning to snowboarding, where her passion was in the park. Growing up in Mammoth Lakes, California, it was only a matter of time before Delson found herself on the snow.

Delson is the latest athlete featured in U.S. Ski & Snowboard’s “On the Rise” series, presented by Zions Bank. Through community service, sponsorships and charitable donations, Zions Bank is committed to fueling economic growth and enhancing quality of life in Idaho, Utah and Wyoming.

Q: What initially drew you to the sport of snowboarding?

KD: Snowboarding always looked way cool. My whole family rode, and I skied, because that is what the disabled sports organization I was learning with thought was best for those with disabilities at that time. Those ideas have changed since. As soon as I got onto a snowboard, it was the freedom of movement that drew me. Being able to get around on the board free of the constraints I felt getting around on my own two feet.

Q: When you were younger and getting into the sport, what were your goals?

When I was younger, my goals were all based in the park. All I wanted to do was board slides, spins and get big air off jumps!

Q: What is your biggest accomplishment?

My biggest accomplishment yet has been becoming a part of the Toyota U.S. Para Snowboard Team. Starting the process of turning snowboarding (one of my greatest loves) into a career. And with that being welcomed into the extraordinary Para snowboard community.

Q: What is your ultimate goal?

I cannot declare an ultimate goal at this time, as I believe it is beyond my current imagination. But I hope to never stop improving my riding and take it to places I never thought possible. I am confident that it will pay off in competition.

Q: Who are your heroes? Both in & out of the sport?

Within snowboarding, my teammates Brenna Huckaby and Noah Elliott are two humans I really look up to. They both took their riding to levels that were unheard of at that time in Para snowboarding. Despite having no clue what was possible, they did not let that stop them from demolishing barriers! Outside of sport, I have been blessed with amazing parents, coaches, mentors and friends who have all been heroes to me in a variety of ways.

Q: You win $5,000 in prize money: What do you do with it?

For now, probably save it and eventually spend it on snowboards!

Q: Do you budget or follow any structure related to spending?

I do my best to track my monthly spending on living costs and then compare it to how much I made that month. That way, I’m aware if I am losing or gaining. But I’ve got lots to learn.

Q: What's one money habit you follow?

In the past, I’ve spent my summer making as much money as possible. It has been more difficult recently as my training/traveling needs over the off-season have increased.

U.S. Ski & Snowboard announced today that media credentials are now open for the three domestic freeski & snowboard FIS World Cup events, the Toyota U.S. Grand Prix at Aspen Snowmass, the Toyota U.S. Grand Prix at Copper Mountain and Visa Big Air presented by Toyota at Steamboat Resort.

A cornerstone of the freeski and snowboard FIS World Cup calendar, the trio of contests will serve as crucial stops for athletes looking to qualify for the 2026 Milano Cortina Olympic Winter Games. The action kicks off Dec. 11-13, in Steamboat Springs for the Visa Big Air presented by Toyota and then heads south for a weekend in the Copper Mountain halfpipe at the Toyota U.S. Grand Prix, Dec. 17-20. After a quick break for the holiday season, athletes will return to the centennial state, Jan. 7-10, for another Toyota U.S. Grand Prix, this time at Aspen Snowmass, with both halfpipe and slopestyle competitions.

Members of the media are invited to apply for accreditation to cover three of the sport’s most anticipated competitions of the season. Accredited media will have access to competition venues, athlete interview opportunities and official press events. Space is limited and credentials will be issued on a rolling basis. Early application is strongly encouraged.

World Cup Event Schedule

  • Visa Big Air presented by Toyota (big air) | Dec. 11-13 | Steamboat Springs, Colorado
  • Toyota U.S. Grand Prix (halfpipe) | Dec. 17-20 | Copper Mountain, Colorado
  • Toyota U.S. Grand Prix (halfpipe & slopestyle) | Jan. 7-10 | Aspen Snowmass, Colorado

Information below from each resort on how to apply for individual World Cup media credentials.

Visa Big Air presented by Toyota | Steamboat Springs, Colorado

Steamboat Ski Resort is proud to host the Visa Big Air presented by Toyota from Dec. 11-13. This is the second time Steamboat has hosted this event and will be the first qualifying event for the Stifel U.S. Freeski Team and the Hydro Flask U.S. Snowboard Team ahead of the 2026 Winter Olympic Games in Milano Cortina. The venue is accessible on-mountain for skiers and snowboarders.

Media accreditation applications are now live at steamboat.com/mediacenter. Applications will be reviewed in the middle of November and follow-ups will be sent individually.

Toyota U.S. Grand Prix  | Copper Mountain, Colorado

Copper Mountain is excited to welcome back the world’s best skiers and riders for the Toyota U.S. Grand Prix, Dec. 17-20. As the first domestic halfpipe World Cup event of the season, the competition is a key milestone on the road to the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games. One of three World Cups hosted at Copper this winter, following the Stifel Copper Cup alpine events in November, the Toyota U.S. Grand Prix offers fans the chance to watch elite athletes fine-tune their skills in Copper’s 22-foot Superpipe in Center Village.

Media accreditation for Copper’s Toyota U.S. Grand Prix is now open at CopperColorado.com. Applications will be reviewed beginning in November, with notifications sent individually. Please note that editorial and broadcast outlets will receive priority.

Toyota U.S. Grand Prix | Aspen Snowmass, Colorado

Aspen Snowmass is proud to host the 2026 Toyota U.S. Grand Prix Jan. 7-10, 2026. The event will bring the world's best freeskiers and snowboarders to compete in FIS World Cup halfpipe and slopestyle disciplines on Buttermilk’s famed course. As the final World Cup event in this discipline before the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games, the Toyota U.S. Grand Prix will serve as a pivotal final stage in qualifying athletes for the Olympic team.

The Grand Prix event is free and open to the public.

Media accreditation requests are now open for the 2026 Toyota U.S. Grand Prix at Aspen Snowmass. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, with approvals and more information sent closer to event dates. Editorial outlets, broadcasters, and photographers are encouraged to apply, with priority given to editorial and broadcast media.

Two-Time Olympian Casey Larson Announces Retirement from Competitive Ski Jumping

Casey Larson

After more than a decade on the international stage, two-time Olympian Casey Larson of the Stifel U.S. Ski Jumping Team announced his retirement from competitive ski jumping.

Larson, who recorded one of the furthest jumps ever by an American man at 216.5 meters, was a four-time U.S. national champion, earned multiple national championship podium finishes and represented his country at the highest level of sport, including being named to Team USA at the 2018 and 2022 Olympic Winter Games and five World Championships. Known for his trademark mustache, Larson was instantly recognizable around the circuit and brought a positive attitude to the ski jumping community and competition.

“Being an athlete representing the Stifel U.S. Ski Jumping Team and USA Ski Jumping and looking back on everything we achieved makes me extremely proud,” said Larson. “However, it is time for me to take a step back from competing and hang up the skis.”

As U.S. ski jumping continues its path forward, Larson expressed gratitude for those who have supported him along the way. “I am retiring with nothing but love for my teammates, coaches and staff who have made everything possible from day one,” he added.

While closing this chapter, Larson remains committed to the ski jumping community and looks forward to contributing to the sport beyond his time on the hill.

Kylie Kariotis is 'On The Rise'

Kylie Kariotis

The 2024-25 season was nothing short of spectacular for Kylie Kariotis. Despite previously starting in only six World Cups, Kariotis took the circuit by storm this year and earned personal bests week after week, traveling across the world when she previously thought she was going to be competing in NorAms. Her steady rise in results led her to a fourth-place finish at the Beidahu World Cup, which was enough to earn a spot on her first World Championships team. This was not an opportunity she took lightly, and she ended up finishing fourth in dual moguls at World Championships. Off the circuit, Kariotis is also a student at Boston College studying finance and brings the same passion she has for moguls skiing to everything she does.

Kariotis is the latest athlete featured in U.S. Ski & Snowboard’s “On the Rise” series, presented by Zions Bank. Through community service, sponsorships and charitable donations, Zions Bank is committed to fueling economic growth and enhancing quality of life in Idaho, Utah and Wyoming.

Q: What initially drew you to moguls skiing?

KK: I was first drawn to moguls skiing because of my older siblings; they competed, and I thought they were so cool. I did my first moguls competition when I was five years old, and I instantly loved the excitement of competing. Being there with my family made it even more special, and that combination of fun and challenge made me immediately hooked on the sport.

Q: When you were younger and getting into the sport, what were your goals?

KK: When I was younger, I dreamed of qualifying for the Stifel U.S. Ski Team and representing my country on the international stage. The skiers on the national team were the absolute best, and I wanted nothing more than to be part of that. I also dreamed of traveling the world to compete at the different stops on the World Cup circuit; it always felt like such a unique and inspiring experience.

Q: What is your biggest accomplishment?

KK: My biggest accomplishment so far is qualifying for World Championships this past season and finishing fourth in dual moguls. At the start of the year, I thought I would be competing on the NorAm tour, but I was unexpectedly pulled up to the World Cup and then had the opportunity to qualify for such a prestigious event. That whole experience felt surreal, and I’m really grateful for how it unfolded.

Q: What is your ultimate goal?

KK: My ultimate goal is to win a World Cup and one day compete in the Olympics. The Olympics are the pinnacle of our sport, and being able to represent my country on that stage would be the ultimate honor. I know how difficult it is to qualify, but I find joy in the process of becoming the skier who is capable of competing there.

Q: Who are your heroes? Both in and out of the sport?

KK: Growing up, two of my biggest heroes were Jonny Moseley and Ann Battelle. Both are icons in the freestyle skiing community with incredible accomplishments. Jonny was especially inspiring since he grew up in the same town as me, went to the same high school, and skied at the same program. Ann has always struck me as one of the coolest people I’ve met, and the fact that she continues to give back to the freestyle community as a coach is really special. Outside of skiing, my heroes are my parents. They taught me how to ski, believed in me every step of the way, and provided me with all the tools I needed to grow into the athlete I am today. I’m forever grateful for their support.

Q: You win $5,000 in prize money: What do you do with it?

KK:  I would probably buy a new mountain bike, since I love the terrain around Salt Lake and biking is excellent cross-training for moguls skiing. I’d also consider putting part of it toward my education at Boston College, which is another big priority in my life.

Q: Do you budget or follow any structure related to spending?

KK: I don’t currently keep a strict budget, as I’m fortunate to receive support from both my parents and the team. That said, I try to stay mindful of how I spend and make sure I focus on the essentials that support my skiing and education.

Q: What is one money habit you follow?

KK: I always review my credit card statements monthly to ensure there’s no fraudulent activity. It’s a simple habit, but it gives me peace of mind and helps me stay on top of my spending.

In its 10th year, Ron Kruszewski, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Stifel Financial Corp. and U.S. Ski & Snowboard Trustee, hosted the annual Stifel U.S. Ski Team fundraiser in St. Louis. The yearly event broke previous records, raising $1.375 million for all ski teams under the U.S. Ski & Snowboard umbrella, including alpine, cross country, freestyle, freeski, ski jumping, nordic combined and Para alpine.

This year’s theme was “Una Notte Bianca a Cortina,” a nod to the upcoming 2026 Milano Cortina Olympic & Paralympic Winter Games, providing guests with a touch of Italy around every corner. A beautiful evening played host to several athletes, a live band, a silent auction, food, drinks and dancing, with all proceeds directly benefitting the Stifel U.S. Ski Team as they prepare for the upcoming season.

“The amount of time, effort, love and support this community—and that starts with Ron and Amanda (and Stifel!)—has put into our sports and the Stifel U.S. Ski Team is otherworldly and something very special. Thank you,” said Olympic gold medalist and Stifel U.S. Alpine Ski Team athlete Mikaela Shiffrin in a recent Instagram post

“This was my first time attending this event in St. Louis and it exceeded all expectations! Ron and Amanda worked so hard on this fundraiser and it was such a beautiful night with everyone,” said 2022 Olympian and Stifel U.S. Alpine Ski Team athlete Bella Wright.

It was a star-studded event filled with U.S. Ski & Snowboard athletes such as Mikaela Shiffrin, Alex Ferreira, Lauren Macuga, Alli Macuga, Jaelin Kauf, Noah Elliott and Bella Wright. In addition to the winter athletes, highly regarded sportscaster Joe Buck was also in attendance to cheer on the fundraising efforts.

“Going into the Olympic season knowing we have so many people behind us athletes really make a difference. So thankful and looking forward to more Stifel events in the future,” said Wright.

The event, hosted by Kruszewski and Amanda Perkins, has become one of the organization's largest fundraisers, bringing together the community in and around St. Louis, Missouri. Those in attendance included U.S. Ski & Snowboard trustees, long-time supporters and ski and snowboard guests.

2024 was a big year for Henry Townshend and he’s just getting started. During the 2024-25 season, Townshend earned his first World Cup start, second in slopestyle at Junior World Championships and brought home the gold in slopestyle at the Youth Olympic Games in Gangwon, Korea. He finished the season second overall for the North American Continental Cup.

Born and raised in Park City, UT, a town that consistently produces remarkable park skiers, it was only a matter of time before Townshend joined the Stifel U.S. Freeski Team. Following a successful last season and a summer spent training on the airbag and in the gym, we are excited to see what Townshend has to offer this winter.

Townshend is the latest athlete featured in U.S. Ski & Snowboard’s “On the Rise” series, presented by Zions Bank. Through community service, sponsorships and charitable donations, Zions Bank is committed to fueling economic growth and enhancing quality of life in Idaho, Utah and Wyoming.

Q: What initially drew you to the sport of freeskiing?

A: My parents put me on skis when I was three. By the time I was six, I had found out about park skiing and was hooked. I grew up following a family friend through the park and he was a big inspiration to me.

Q: When you were younger and getting into the sport, what were your goals?

A: I’ve always dreamed of going to the Olympics and competing at X Games. I want to be good enough to have no limits on what I can try.

Q: What is your biggest accomplishment?

A: My biggest accomplishment so far has been winning a gold medal at the 2024 Youth Olympic Games. It felt so great to put that run down.

Q: What is your ultimate goal?

A: I would love to become one of the best slopestyle skiers, to compete for as long as I can, and eventually transition into film skiing. I hope to continue skiing and finding joy in it for as long as possible.

Q: Who are your heroes? Both in & out of the sport?

A: In all aspects of my life, my mom is definitely a hero for me. Within the sport, there are so many skiers who have inspired me, and I’m super lucky to get to ski with so many of them on the team.

Q: You win $5,000 in prize money: What do you do with it?

A: If I were to win $5,000 in prize money, I would probably splurge on a trip. I’d love to go surfing or skiing in a new place. Maybe somewhere in South America?

Q: Do you budget or follow any structure related to spending?

A: Not really, I try to be cognizant of how much money I’m spending, and I try not to spend too much on things I don’t actually need. I’m really lucky to have a lot of help from my mom funding my skiing.

Q: What’s one money habit you follow?

A: I like to invest any extra money I have.

Two-time Olympic gold medalist and snowboarding icon Jamie Anderson announced her official return to World Cup competition in an interview with NBC. After stepping away from competition to focus on family and personal projects, Anderson is back, this time with two young daughters by her side, as she sets her sights on qualifying for the 2026 Milano Cortina Olympic Winter Games.

Widely regarded as one of the most influential riders in snowboarding history, Anderson returns with renewed energy and perspective, ready to rejoin the international stage as part of the Hydro Flask U.S. Snowboard Team.

“Jamie is one of the greatest slopestyle athletes of all time and will continue to be a pioneer in the sport of snowboarding,” said Hydro Flask U.S. Snowboard Team sport director Rick Bower. "I have no doubt that if she puts her mind and her energy into it, she will have a successful go at competing again.”

"What sets Jamie apart isn’t just talent — it’s resilience, discipline, and heart,” said Hydro Flask U.S. Snowboard Team slopestyle & big air head coach Mike Ramirez. Watching her step back into Snowboarding after becoming a mother of two is inspiring on so many levels, and we feel privileged to be part of this chapter in her journey."

A Legendary Career

Anderson first made history at the 2014 Sochi Olympic Winter Games, becoming the inaugural women’s Olympic slopestyle gold medalist. Four years later, she not only defended her slopestyle Olympic gold medal in PyeongChang but showcased her versatility by adding a big air Olympic silver medal to her resume.

In addition to her Olympic-level success, Anderson is the most decorated woman in X Games history with 21 medals in just 23 appearances. She’s also a five-time ESPY Female Action Sports Award winner, has 11 career World Cup wins and is a two-time FIS World Championship medalist.

A New Chapter: Motherhood and Beyond

Anderson has spent the past few years embracing family life and creative projects, including Great Alaskan Adventure, a backcountry film project created with her fiancé, Tyler Nicholson, documenting their journey as new parents exploring untamed terrain with daughter Misty Rose, born in March 2023, in tow. The two welcomed a second daughter, Nova Sky, in April 2025.

With an uncanny ability to transfer contest-winning precision into unpredictable terrain, Anderson took third place in the 2024 Natural Selection final—proving she could still compete at the highest level of snowboarding.

Her return is fueled not only by unfinished business on the competition stage, but also by the chance to redefine what’s possible for women—and mothers—in elite sport. “I feel excited to have the opportunity to return and hopefully inspire other women and mothers that we can do it,” Anderson told NBC in an interview announcing her comeback. “Some people say coming back as a mother gives you an extra superpower, so we’ll see how that plays out.”

Nonprofit Work

Anderson’s achievements extend beyond the podium. She has played a pivotal role in progressing women’s snowboarding, notably collaborating with longtime resort partner Woodward to how her enJOY event, which provided women from around the world with the tools and encouragement needed to break into the sport.

She is also the founder of the Jamie Anderson Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting youth in action sports by providing equipment, financial aid and access to mountain experiences. Since its inception, the foundation has helped thousands of children and families overcome barriers to snowboarding and other outdoor activities.

In addition, Anderson has partnered with Protect Our Winters (POW) to advocate for environmental sustainability and climate change awareness.

Looking To Milano Cortina

With eyes set on the 2026 Olympic Winter Games, Anderson is poised to showcase once again the talent and style that have earned her a reputation as a legend in snowboarding. Now, with her family in tow, Anderson returns to the sport with a renewed sense of joy and excitement in rediscovering her love for competing on the world’s biggest stage.

“I don’t know where it’s coming from, but I’m fired up,” said Anderson. “As always, I’m going to go with the flow, trust my intuition and play it by ear. It will probably be mayhem traveling with a family of four, but I’m feeling inspired to get some tricks I was doing pre-motherhood back on the table.”

With only two months remaining before the next Olympic qualifier, Anderson joins the Hydro Flask U.S. Snowboard Team in New Zealand for an on-snow training camp.

Through U.S. Ski & Snowboard’s goal to grow the next generation of aerials skiers in the United States, U.S. Ski & Snowboard has launched the Aerials Nationals Development Group (AENDG) to further develop the pipeline of aerials athletes.

The Aerials National Development Group is a pool of the country's top developmental aerials athletes, selected based on head-to-head performance at NorAms, U.S. Championships, and other domestic FIS events. Athletes selected for the AENDG are recognized with an invitation to national development projects during the 2025-26 season. AENDG programming aims to drive athletes toward the Stifel U.S. Ski Team. Strategic training opportunities will be organized during the preparation and competition periods to emphasize technical and tactical development in each athlete. An emphasis on conditioning will provide the backbone for advancement throughout the winter. The AENDG’s overall mission is to provide consistent, top-tier support for the growth of our next generation athletes. The program will collaborate with the athletes’ current program and coaches to ensure athletes receive the best possible training, support and resources.

AENDG athletes will work with Jack Boyczuk, who will serve as the group’s head coach in year one of the program. Athletes have the opportunity to train across North America in Park City, UT, Bristol, NY and Le Relais, CAN, and learn from subject matter experts in sports psychology, nutrition and strength and conditioning. Madison Hogg, U.S. Ski & Snowboard’s Freestyle Development Manager, will serve as the AENDG Team Administrator

“The Aerials National Development Group is just what we need to keep advancing aerials skiing in the United States and ensure our athletes have the tools to reach the highest level,” said Matt Gnoza, U.S. Ski & Snowboard’s Freestyle Sport Director. “We’ve built a strong tradition of excellence in aerials, and this program will help us carry that momentum into the future.”

The first cohort of athletes selected for the AENDG comprises the best up-and-coming aerials skiers in the country - many with great international and domestic success.
